About Us

Abbey Products was founded in October 1985, in a small starter unit in Wigston, Leicester. To-date we have grown and expanded into our forth factory. We have developed vast experience of the thermoforming industry working with our customers to design, manufacture and produce their tooling requirements.

Abbey Products are one of the top thermoforming toolmaking companies in England, located in Whetstone, South Leicester. Between Junction 20 and 21 of the M1, We specialise in the manufacture of high quality thermoforming tools both in the UK and Europe, A very versatile company with a huge wealth of experience.  We have a professional and committed team using all the traditional methods of manufacture as well as all CAD CAM technology and CNC milling machines, allowing for the most complicated designs to be developed and manufactured and delivered direct to your door.

Design & Development

Every project has to start somewhere and our dedicated Pattern makers have a massive contribution in design and always present first class prototype samples for presentation, Also with full CAD CAM facilities we can offer a complete drawing package as required.

Production Tooling

Our tooling expertise is second to none, we manufacture the complete package. e.g., Main tooling from approved prototyping. Production tooling to suit most high speed thermoforming machines such as Illig. G.N. Etc Tooling is either cast or CNC as required each tool has a high polished finish or a 150 dry bead blast finish (very fine) This has proven popular with 90% of the tools we manufacture, we have our own Engraving shop where Recycling Symbols are Free of charge,  Water Bolsters. These  are a one cavity sealed bolster. Very popular and far more efficient than the drilled type, Sets of Frames. The complete package cooled or otherwise, Anvils, to suit each tool and will come with a BN14 top plate (very Hard Wearing) recognised only to Abbey Products very popular and maintenance free, Heated Knives or otherwise these come with a repair set of blades,  Plug Assist. As required and made from syntactic material unless otherwise agreed Full Stacker.  Stackers are complete and ready to use.
